अध्यात्मतत्वकोकः
23. Delusion is the source of all vices; the destruction of the former leaves no scope for the advent of the latter. This is the secret of the teaching of Spiritual Knowledge, which the wise always carry in their mind.
शरीरमेवात्मतया विदन्तो विदन्ति नैतत् खलु 'कोऽहमस्मि' ?
इदं जगद् विस्मृतवत् स्वमेव स्वस्मिन् भ्रमः स्फूर्जति कीदृशोऽयम् ! ||२४||
૨૪ શરીરને જેએ આત્મા સમજે છે, તેએ નથી સમજતા કે ‘ હું કેણુ छं ? ' आ भगत् पोताने भूसी गयुं छे. पोताने घोताने (घोताने विषे ४)
આ કેવે! ભ્રમ !
21. Those who identify their bodies with their souls, do not properly understand their real nature; they are unable to give a correct reply to the question "Who am I?" This world has forgotten its own self. Oh! what a strange and bewildering delusion of one, as regards one's own self !!
भ्राम्य शरीरी भवचक्रवाले भुङ्क्ते स्म भोगान् बहुशः प्रभूतान् । तथाप्यनासादितवान् स तृप्तिं तृप्त्यै नृभोगेषु विचेष्टतेऽत्र ॥ २५ ॥
૨૫ લવ–ચક્રમાં ભ્રમણ કરતા દેહધારીએ સ'સારના અનેક જાતના ભાગે ઘણી વાર ભેગવ્યા છે, છતાં તૃપ્ત ન થયે, અને હવે મનુષ્યના લાગેામાં તૃપ્ત થવા મથે છે !
25. The phenomenal soul wandering in the cycle of births and deaths, has enjoyed many times various kinds of worldly pleasures; still, it not being content with them is now feverishly hankering after human enjoyments.
रिक्तीकृतेऽप्यम्बुनिधौ निपीय तृपा यदीयोपशमं न याता | लुणाप्रभागस्थिततोयविपानेन तृप्तिं किमसौ लभेत ? ॥ २६ ॥
