भारमहितोपदेशः
२९१ ખરી રીતે સુખની સિદ્ધિ અન્યને અધીન નથી, જો કે અન્યને અધીન હોય એમ અનુભવાય છે, પણ અન્યને અધીન એવા સુખમાં શું ભલીવાર હોય? ઓ! સજજન! તારું પિતાનું સ્વરૂપ જે અનન્ત સચ્ચિદાનન્દરૂપ, અનન્તવીર્યરૂપ છે તેને જે! અને તેને અનુભવ કરી સુખી થા! પિતાની ઓળખ કરી સુખી થા ! ૧૧
Although we experience our happiness as being dependent upon other individuals or external things, such happiness is of listie consequence. That is not real happiness. Real happiness is independent of such individunls or things. Koow that your soul is the abode or repository of eternal existence and infinite intelligence bliss as well as power, Realise this and try to be happy in that consciou inesg. 11
श्रीधर्मशास्त्राध्ययनेऽपि भूयसि प्रभूतवैराग्य-विवेचनेऽपि च । जनोऽयमात्मोन्नति-धर्म याति नाराधिनी तत्र विमोहवासना ॥१२॥
ધર્મશાસ્ત્રોનાં અદયયન અને વૈરાગ્ય-ભાવનાનાં વિવેચન ઘણું ઘણું કરવા છતાં આ માણસ આધ્યાત્મિક (આત્મવિકાસના) મ ગ પર આવતા નથી એનું કારણ એની ઉદ્દામ મેહવાસના છે. ૧૨

प्रवर्तमानो व्यवहारमार्ग आत्मार्थकार्याण्यपि साधयेत । आत्मीयमंशुद्धिमसंस्पृशत् तु जानीत सर्वाचरणं निरर्थम्
