( 100) He is the highest of all the ocnquerors in the whole world, who conquers his internal enemies which are verily very strong. When a person having curbed his senses and purified his mind, becomes free from all passions, be attains to the state of the Supreme Soul.
यतो यतो रागमाला व्यपेयुर्भजेत् सदा तं तमुपायमुचैः । मुक्तेरिदं साधनमाह वीरो न बाह्यलोकैषणगामुकः स्यात् ॥ १०१ ॥
ભગવાન્ ફરમાવે છે. જે જે રીતે રાગદ્વેષાદિ મલ નાબૂદ થાય તેમ વતી ! તેમ પ્રવતાં ! અર્થાત્ જે જે ઉપાયે રાગદ્વેષાદિ મલ દૂર થાય તે તે ઉપાયને દૃઢભાવથી સેવા ! એ જ મુક્તિનું સાધન છે. ભગવાન કહે છેઃ માહ્યલેાકેાના, અર્થાત, ખાદ્ય લેાકપ્રવાહના, અહીત રૂઢિમા ના અથવા ભૌતિક સ્થૂલ લાલસાના અનુગામી ન અનેા ! (૧૦૧)
(101) One should always resort to proper expedients what-soever as would wash away the dirt of attachment, Lord Mahavira has taught this to be the means whereby to attain Salvation. One should never move thoughtlessly with the worldly current.
इति स्वल्पं विश्वप्रणतचरितो दुखरतपाः क्षमापारावारोऽखिलजन हिताराधनमनाः । जगद्व्यापि-श्रेयस्कर - विविधदृक् संगममयं
प्रवक्ता पन्थानं स्मृत इह यथाशक्ति भगवान् ॥ १०२ ॥
જગદૂન્દિત-ચરિત, દુલ્ચર તપની મૂર્ત્તિ, ક્ષમાસમુદ્ર, સજન-હિતના આરાધનમાં નિમગ્ન અને દુનિયાભરને કલ્યાણકારક થાય એવા, વિવિધ દૃષ્ટિએના સમન્વયથી સપન્ન માર્ગ બતાવનાર એવા મહાપ્રભુ મહાવીરનું આ પ્રમાણે આ પ્રમન્યમાં) યથાશક્તિ કંઇક સ્મરણ કર્યું', (૧૦૨)
