In the middle of these oceans and continents is Jambūdvīpa, which is round and which is one hundred thousands yojanas in diameter. Mount Meru is at the centre of this continent like the navel in the body.
भरतहैमवतहरिविदेहरम्यकहरण्यवतैरावतवर्षाः
क्षेत्राणि ॥१०॥ इस जम्बूद्वीप में भरत, हैमवत, हरि, विदेह, रम्यक, हैरण्यवत और ऐरावत - ये सात क्षेत्र हैं।
Bharata, Haimavata, Hari, Videha, Ramyaka, Hairaṇyavata, and Airāvata are the seven regions.
तद्विभाजिनः पूर्वापरायता हिमवन्महाहिमवन्निषधनील
रुक्मिशिखरिणो वर्षधरपर्वताः ॥११॥
उन सात क्षेत्रों का विभाग करने वाले पूर्व से पश्चिम तक लम्बे 1- हिमवत्, 2- महामहिमवत्, 3- निषध, 4- नील, 5- रुक्मि और 6- शिखरिन् – ये छह वर्षधर-कुलाचल पर्वत हैं। (वर्ष क्षेत्र)
The mountain chains Himavan, Mahāhimavan, Nişadha, Nīla, Rukmi, and Şikhari, running east to west, divide these regions.
