knowledge, gradually wanes owing to the abstraction of mind resulting from continuous deep meditation.(43)
One, who is void of joy and sorrow and who resorts to equanimity everywhere is characterized as one who resembles the object of meditation (being lost) in profound meditation of Supreme Spirit only.(44)
When one surely sees that one's soul is different from one's own body, then there is no doubt that the practice of deep and abstract meditation (of the Supreme Spirit) is agreeable.(45)
When the mind, which is set free by all the pairs of opposites, would become void of deliberation, then there would be bliss, indeed, without any effort owing to the annihilation of desires.(46)
When the sprout in the form of worldly life is destroyed through all oblivion, a Yogi, who is freed from the forest of worldly existence, is not born again.(47)
Owing to the termination of all functions the mind (itself) of an ascetic, who performs religious deeds without caring for (their) rewards, quickly becomes devoid of throbbing and well absorbed into his own self.(48)
One, who is conversant with Yoga and who has taken rest in his own self because of the disappearance of the mind, abides in the body like water in the pot of ghee.(49)
A Yogi, who is free from desire, should have no anxiety even for emancipation owing to the power of discriminating when desirelessness overtakes him everywhere.(50)
Some extraordinary Yogis, who really know the 'freedom of will' of the aspirants explained in the religious treatise of magical and mystical formularies, are very rare indeed.(51)
The lord of Yogis, who is devoid of all wish and who is intent on the delight of his own self may resemble Jina (Arhat) because of his abiding in profound meditation.(52)
