This opinion on their part should be communicated to the Thakore ; and it will give them satisfaction to learn that he has expressed, through the Political Agent to Mr. Premabhai, his regret at having been led into such an error.

આજમશેઠ પ્રેમાભાઈ હેમાભાઈ અજ તરફ જે. ડબ્લ્યુ. વાટસન સાહેબ ઓફીસીયેટીંગ પિલીટીકલ એજન્ટ પ્રાંત કાઠીઆવાડ દીગર ઈડરના શા. રાયચંદ પ્રેમચંદની પાલીતાણામાં થએલી ચોરીના કામમાં પાલીતાણાના ઠાકોર સાહેબે તા. ૨૩ જુન ૧૮૩૪ ની રોજનીશીમાં એક યાદી આપેલ તેમાં આપ વિશે કેટલા અઘટીત શબ્દો વાપર્યા હતા. આ લખાણ કંઈ પણ સાબેતી વીના ઠાકોર સાહેબે કર્યું એમ સરકારે તા. ૫ સપ્ટેમ્બર ૧૮૭૬ ના નંબર ૫૦૮૨ ના રીઝલ્યુશનમાં ઠરાવી હુકમ કર્યો હતો કે “ઠાકોર સાહેબે આવી ભૂલ કરી તેટલા માટે તેમણે પિલીટીકલ એજન્ટ સાહેબ મારફત શેઠ પ્રેમાભાઇને દિલગીરી જાહેર કરવી” આ ઉપરથી ઠાકોર સાહેબે પિતાની તા. ૫ જાનેવારી ૧૮૭૭ ની યાદીમાં અમારી મારફતે પિતાની દિલગીરી આપને જાહેર કરવા લખ્યું છે તે આપને જાણવા લખ્યું છે. તા. ૮ જાનેવારી સને ૧૮૭૭ રાજકોટ. દફતરદાર.
