to the first part by Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. T. Ganapati Sastri, my illustrious predecessor in office viz., "An edition of the second part based on all available manuscripts will be published before long."
The edition of the work is based on four manuscripts.
1. () belonging to the Palace Library, Trivandrum about three centuries old.
2. () lent by Brahmasri P. Narayanan Bhattatiri, Kuzhikkatta Illom, Tiruvalla, about a century old. A few chapters are missing in the middle in this manuscript.
3. (7) lent by Brahmasri Kesavar Kesavar, Kalpakamangalam Manalikkara Matom, Padmanabhapuram, about
two centuries old.
4. (a) lent by Mr. Narayanan Nambiar, Olavur, Kunnatunad. It is about two centuries old and contains the four chapters from the 22nd to the 25th and the last chapter.
