daśāngıtvam caturdasa pūrvitvam ca sūtrarrātragrahaņéspi syāditi tadapihārthamāna-were experienced in the knowledge of the fourteen Pūrvas get. They are previously described as well-versed in the twelve Angas, which include the fourteen Pūrvas; they are further described as Caturdasa pūrviņah acestaoexperienced in the knowledge of the fourteen Pūrvas gå, with the object of establishing the supremacy of the knowledge of the fourteen Pūrvas in the Twelve Angas. Besides, these Pūrvas were composed before; they are full of meanings of :Mantras 9-Spells, incantations-and many other sciences and they are very authoritative and hence their supreme importance.
