Ravan Mandodari Bhakti on the way to Ashtapad

Ravan and his wife Mandodari went to Mount Ashtapad to pray. Mandodari started dancing while Ravan started playing the Veena, a musical instrument. When a string from the Veena accidentally broke, Ravan pulled a vein from his thigh, replaced the broken string, and continued playing the Veena. Afterwards they performed pooja & offered prayers to the idols. Thus Ravan earned Tirthankar Nam-karma, ensuring a place in the future Chovisi.
