31. (Question) What is naam. shrut (shrut as name)?
(Answer) To assign shrut as a name to a living being, a non-living being, many living beings, many non-living things, an aggregate of living and non-living, and many aggregates of living and non-living is called nama shrut or shrut as name. (२) स्थापना श्रुत
३२. से किं तं ठवणासुयं ? ठवणासुयं जण्णं कट्ठकम्मे वा जाव सुए इ ठवणा ठविज्ञति। से तं ठवणासुयं । ३२. (प्रश्न) स्थापना श्रुत किसे कहते हैं ?
(उत्तर) काष्ठ यावत् कौड़ी आदि आकृति में यह श्रुत है, इस प्रकार की स्थापना, कल्पना या आरोप किया जाता है, वह स्थापना श्रुत है। (विशेष पाठ सूत्र ११ के अनुसार समझें।) (2) STHAPANA SHRUT
32. (Question) What is sthapana shrut (shrut as notional installation) ?
(Answer) The notional installation or illustration or imagination of shrut in or through (things or medias like-) wood work, (up to-) kaudi or shells realistically or unrealistically is called sthapana shrut (shrut as notional installation). (refer to aphorism 11 for more details.)
