हरतालगुटिका का, चिकुर (गंध द्रव्य) का, चिकुर के रग का, उत्तम शुद्ध स्वर्ण का, उत्तम " स्वर्ण की रेखा का (सुनहली घास का), वासुदेव के वस्त्रों का, अल्लकी (वृक्ष) पुष्प का,
चम्पा पुष्प का, कद्दू के फूल का, ऑवले के फूल का, घोषातिकी पुष्प (तोरई के फूल) का, सुनहली जूही के फूल का, पीत अशोक वृक्ष का, पीली कनेर का, पीले बंधुजीवक का होता है ? क्या वे पीली मणियाँ पूर्वोक्त पदार्थों के पीले रग जैसी पीत वर्ण की थी? THE YELLOW COLOUR JEWELS

creeper, flowers of golden juhi, yellow Ashok tree, yellow kaner, yellow bandhu-jeevak are all yellow. Is it a fact that the yellow jewels were comparable in their colour to the above said yellow substances ?
३८. णो इणढे समढे, ते णं हालिद्दा मणी एत्तो इट्ठतराए चेव जाव वण्णेणं पण्णत्ता। ___३८. आयुष्मान् श्रमणो ! ये उपमाएँ उन मणियों के पीत रंग का वर्णन करने में समर्थ नहीं हैं, क्योकि वे पीली मणियाँ इनसे भी इष्टतर यावत् मनोहर पीले वर्ण वाली थीं।।
38. O the blessed ! These substances are not capable to illustrate to the colour of the yellow jewels since the jewels were still deeper
