म राजा ने भांड के कहे अनुसार एक दिन रानी से पूछा-“देवी, मेरी इच्छा है कि मैं दूसरा ॐ + विवाह करूँ और उस रानी के गर्भ से जो पुत्र हो उसे राज्य का उत्तराधिकारी बनाऊँ।" रानी ने 5 से उत्तर दिया, “महाराज ! आप अवश्य ही दूसरा विवाह कर लें किन्तु राज्य का अधिकारी तो ॐ परम्परानुसार ज्येष्ठ कुमार ही हो सकता है।" राजा को भांड की बात की पुष्टि मिली तो वह ॥ " हँस पड़ा। रानी ने हँसने का कारण पूछा तो राजा ने भांड वाली बात उसे बता दी। रानी भांड 卐 ॐ पर कुपित हो गई और राजा से हठकर भाँड को देश निकाला देने की आज्ञा दिलवा दी।
· भांड समझ गया कि यह किसका काम है। उसने ढेर सारे जूतों को एक गठरी में बाँधा और ॐ सिर पर रखकर रानी से विदा लेने महल में गया। रानी ने आश्चर्य से पूछा-“सिर पर इतना म बोझ क्यों उठाए फिरते हो?" भांड ने उत्तर दिया-"रानी जी ! इस गठरी में मैंने जितने आ
सकते थे उतने जूतों के जोड़े भर लिए हैं। जब तक ये सभी फट नहीं जाते मैं एक-एक कर इन्हें म पहनकर देश-विदेश भ्रमण करूँगा और सबको बताऊँगा कि मुझे किसने और क्यों देश निकाला ॥ दिया।"
रानी भांड की यह बात सुन अपने अपयश की संभावना से आशंकित हो गई और राजा से कहकर देश निकाले की आज्ञा को निरस्त करवा दिया। अपनी औत्पत्तिकी बुद्धि के सहारे भांड है बच गया।
5. The Cloth-Two wayfarers coincidentally reached a lake at the same time. One of them, who appeared wealthy, was wearing costly dress and had a very costly woollen shawl on his shoulders. The other was dressed in ordinary clothes and had a rough cotton shawl on his shoulders. At the bank of the lake they both put off their clothes and started bathing. The man with ordinary dress quickly finished his bath, put on his dress, picked up the costly woollen shawl and left hastily. The wealthy man called when he saw this—“Hey ! Where are you taking my shawl ?” The swindler did not respond and continued to walk slowly. The wealthy person rushed after getting dressed and
caught the swindler. But the swindler started a dispute by claiming i the shawl to be his. At last they went to the court and requested the 41 judge to pass a judgement after telling him about their respective 51 claims.
At first the judge failed to arrive at some conclusion. There was no identifying mark on the shawl that could point at its owner. After pondering over the matter for some time the judge called for two
fresh combs. He asked the two claimants to comb their hair well and 4 return the combs. He then carefully examined the two combs. He ॐ मतिज्ञान (औत्पत्तिकी बुद्धि)
