सूत्र १४ : तए णं से पोंडरीए इमीसे कहाए लद्धटे समाणे पहाए अंतेउरपरियालसंपरिडे । 15 जेणेव कंडरीए अणगारे तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता कंडरीयं तिक्खुत्तो आयाहिणं पयाहिणं टा
र करेइ, करित्ता वंदइ, णमंसइ, वंदित्ता णमंसित्ता एवं वयासी-'धन्ने सि णं तुम देवाणुप्पिया ! डा 15 कयत्थे कयपुण्णे कयलक्खणे, सुलद्धे णं देवाणुप्पिया ! तव माणुस्सए जम्म-जीवियफले, जे णंट 5 तुमं रज्जं च जाव अंतेउरं च छड्डइत्ता विगोवइत्ता जाव पव्वइए। अहं णं अहण्णे अकयपुण्णे दे र रज्जेय जाव अंतेउरे य माणुस्सएसु य कामभोगेसु मुच्छिए जाव अज्झोववन्ने नो संचाएमि जावडा 5 पव्वइत्तए। तं धन्नो सि णं तुमं देवाणुप्पिया ! जाव जीवियफले।' र सूत्र १४ : राजा पुण्डरीक को जब यह सूचना मिली तो वे तैयार होकर अपने अन्तःपुर डा र परिवार तथा परिजनों के साथ कण्डरीक अनगार के पास आए। कण्डरीक मुनि की तीन बार ड 5 प्रदक्षिणा की और वन्दना करके कहा-'देवानुप्रिय ! आप धन्य हैं, कृतार्थ हैं, कृतपुण्य हैं और
सुलक्षणवान है। आपको मनुष्य जन्म और जीवन का सुन्दर फल मिला है जो आप राज्य और दा
अन्तःपुर को त्याग कर, अवहेलित कर, प्रव्रजित हुए हैं और मैं अधन्य हूँ, पुण्यहीन हूँ कि राज्य । 15 और अन्तःपुर सहित मानवीय काम भोगों में लिप्त बना हुआ हूँ तथा दीक्षा ग्रहण करने में असमर्थ ट र हूँ। देवानुप्रिय ! आप सचमुच धन्य हैं कि आपको जन्म और जीवन का सुफल प्राप्त हुआ है। र 14. after renouncing the palace and the kingdom. I am the opposite of you in all 5 respects; I am still attached to the palace, kingdom and the carnal pleasures
of life and unable to get initiated. Beloved of gods! you are indeed blessed to a have got the true reward of the human life and form."
