सच्चा त्यागी THE TRUE RENOUNCER

१. जेय कंते पिये भोए-जो व्यक्ति मन को प्रिय लगने वाली भोग-सामग्री, सुन्दर रमणी, धन-वैभव, नौकर, रथ, अश्व आदि से भरेपूरे घर को वैराग्यपूर्वक त्याग देता है, वह वास्तव में त्यागी कहलाता है।
(अध्ययन २, श्लोक ३) 1. A person who abandons all objects of fondness-such as a house filled with conveniences, a beautiful woman, wealth and glory, servants, horses and chariots-with a feeling of detachment is a true renouncer.
(Chapter 2, verse 3) २. वत्थ-गंधमलंकारं-जो व्यक्ति उपर्युक्त सभी प्रकार की भोग-सामग्री का किसी बंधन, पराधीनता या शारीरिक अक्षमता (बुढ़ापा-रोग) अथवा अन्य किसी मजबूरी के कारण भोग नहीं कर सकता, वह त्यागी नहीं है।
2. A person who is unable to enjoy any or all of such things owing to some necessity such as restrictions, dependence, physical or mental disability, etc. is not a true renouncer.
चित्र में प्रदर्शित बंधनों से जकड़ा पराधीन व्यक्ति तथा जीर्ण शरीर के कारण भोगों में असमर्थ वृद्ध पुरुष परवशता के दो रूप हैं।
(अध्ययन २, श्लोक २) The illustration explains such necessity by showing a man bound with ropes within a prison and an emaciated old man incapable of any physical activity.
