Then that garlandmaker-gardener Arjuna thought that tomorrow the demand of flowers would be very much. Having this idea he awoke early in the morning that day and taking his bamboobaskets, went out from house early with his wife Bandhumati, moving through the city reached his flowergarden. There, with his wife, he began to collect flowers, plucking from plants.
सूत्र ७:
तए णं तीसे ललियाए गोट्ठीए छ गोठिल्ला पुरिसा जेणेव मोग्गरपाणिस्स जक्खस्स जक्वाययणे तेणेव उवागया अभिरममाणा चिट्ठति । तए णं से अज्जुणए मालागारे बंधुमईए भारियाए सद्धिं पुप्प्फुच्चयं करेइ; करित्ता अग्गाइं वराइं पुप्फाई गहाय जेणेव मोग्गरपाणिस्स जक्खस्स जक्खाययणे तेणेव उवागच्छइ । तए णं ते छ गोहिल्ला पुरिसा अज्जुणयं मालागारं बंधुमईए भारियाए सद्धिं एज्जमाणं पासइ, पासित्ता अण्णमण्णं एवं वयासी-एवं खलु देवाणुप्पिया ! अज्जुणए मालागारे बंधुमईए भारियाए सद्धिं इहं हव्यमागच्छइ; तं सेयं खलु देवाणुप्पिया ! अज्जुणयं मालागारं अवओडयबंधणयं करित्ता बंधुमईए भारियाए सद्धिं विउलाई भोगभोगाइं भुंजमाणाणं विहरित्तए। त्ति कटु एयमटुं अण्णमण्णस्स पडिसुणेति, पडिसुणित्ता कवाडंतरेसु णिलुक्कंति, णिच्चला, णिप्फंदा, तुसिणीया पच्छण्णा चिटुंति ।
