२३५. से तमादाए एगंतमवक्कमेज्जा, २ (त्ता) अहे झामथंडिल्लं वा जाव अण्णयरंसि वा तहप्पगारंसि थंडिल्लंसि पडिलेहिय २ पमज्जिय २ ततो संजयामेव वत्थं आयावेज्ज वा पयावेज्ज वा।
एयं खलु तस्स भिक्खुस्स वा २ सामग्गियं सदा जएज्जासि। ___-त्ति बेमि।
॥ पढमो उद्देसओ सम्मत्तो ॥ २३५. साधु उस वस्त्र को लेकर एकान्त में जाए; वहाँ देखे कि जो भूमि अग्नि से जली हो यावत् वहाँ अन्य कोई उस प्रकार की निरवद्य अचित्त भूमि हो, उस निर्दोष स्थंडिल भूमि की भलीभाँति प्रतिलेखना एवं प्रमार्जन करके यतनापूर्वक उस वस्त्र को थोड़ा या अधिक धूप में सुखाए।
यही उस साधु या साध्वी का सम्पूर्ण आचार है, जिसमें सभी अर्थों एवं ज्ञानादि आचार से सहित होकर वह सदा प्रयत्नशील रहे। -ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ।
॥ प्रथम उद्देशक समाप्त ॥ 235. The ascetic should take that cloth to an isolated place and find a burnt (where the ground is uncontaminated with ash) or otherwise faultless and uncontaminated spot. There he should first inspect and clean that suitable spot properly and spread the cloth carefully to dry a little or much.
This is the totality (of conduct including that related to knowledge) for that bhikshu or bhikshuni and so he should pursue.
