[२] दूसरी प्रतिमा-वह साधु या साध्वी वस्त्र को पहले गृहस्थ के पास देखकर फिर गृह-स्वामी यावत् नौकरानी आदि से उसकी याचना करे-“आयुष्मन् गृहस्थ भाई अथवा बहन ! क्या तुम इन वस्त्रों में से किसी एक वस्त्र को मुझे दोगे/दोगी?' यह दूसरी प्रतिमा
हुई।

_[३] तीसरी प्रतिमा साधु या साध्वी (गृहस्थ के द्वारा उपयोग में लिया हुआ) पुराने वस्त्र के सम्बन्ध में जाने, जैसे कि-अन्दर पहनने के योग्य या ऊपर पहनने के योग्य चादर आदि अन्तरीय वस्त्र। उस प्रकार के वस्त्र की स्वयं याचना करे या गृहस्थ उसे स्वयं दे तो ग्रहण करे। यह तीसरी प्रतिमा हुई। ___ [४] चौथी प्रतिमा-जिस वस्त्र को बहुत से अन्य शाक्यादि भिक्षु यावत् भिखारी लोग भी लेना न चाहें ऐसे उज्झित-धार्मिक (फेंकने योग्य) वस्त्र की साधु या साध्वी स्वयं याचना करे अथवा वह गृहस्थ स्वयं ही साधु को दे तो उस वस्तु को प्रासुक और एषणीय जानकर ग्रहण कर ले।
जैसे पिण्डैषणा अध्ययन में वर्णन किया गया है, वैसे ही इन चारों प्रतिमाओं के विषय में यहाँ समझ लेना चाहिए। FOUR PRATIMAS FOR ACQUIRING CLOTHES
217. Besides avoiding the said faults related to acquisition of clothes, an ascetic should also observe four prutimas (regulations or special resolves) while exploring for clothes___ [1] First Pratima-A bhikshu or bhikshuni should first seek the cloth he has resolved for. For instance he should resolve in advance to seek one of the said types of cloth, such as jangamik (etc. up to toolkrit). He should then specifically ask for that type of cloth or take it, if offered by a householder on his own, considering it to be faultless and acceptable. _[2] Second Pratima-A bhikshu or bhikshuni should first find if the householder has that cloth and then beg for it from the host (etc. up to maid)—“Long lived householder (brother or sister ! Would you please give one of these clothes to me ?” This is the second pratima.
