। ईर्यागमन-विवेक (१) गमन की विधि-ग्रामानुग्राम विहार करते या भिक्षा के लिए जाते हुए मार्ग में अपने शरीर
प्रमाण (युगमात्र) भूमि को देखते हुए मंद मंद गति से चले। (२) यदि मार्ग में कीचड़, पत्थर या हरियाली व त्रस प्राणी आदि आ जायें तथा दूसरा योग्य मार्ग
न हो तो अति सावधानी के साथ अगला एक पाँव जमाकर पिछला पाँव उठाते हुए जीव
विराधना से बचकर धीरे-धीरे गमन करे। (सूत्र १३२) (३) विषम मार्ग छोड़ दे-विहार करते हुए मार्ग में यदि ऐसा भयानक लम्बा, अटवी मार्ग आता हो __ जिसे पार करने में कई दिन लग सकते हों, जहाँ मार्ग में नदी, नाले आदि वनस्पति आने की।
संभावना हो तथा उस मार्ग में चोर, लुटेरे, दस्यु आदि छिपे रहते हों तो ऐसे विषम मार्ग से विहार नहीं करना चाहिए।

PRUDENCE OF MOVEMENT (1) Procedure of movement-While wandering from one village
to another or going to seek alms an ascetic should watch an area equal to the dimensions of his body and walk carefully and
slowly. (2) If there is slime, stones, vegetation or mobile beings on the path
and there is no alternate path, the ascetic should walk very slowly, step by step and taking extra care to avoid harming
beings. (aphorism 132) (3) Avoid dangerous path-An ascetic should avoid a dangerous
path while going from one village to another, such as-a long, dangerous and desolate path that could take days to cross; where there are rivers, canals or other water-bodies or vegetation on the way; which are frequented by thieves, bandits, dacoits (etc.).
