रीएज्जा, सति परक्कमे संजयामेव परक्कमेज्जा, णो उज्जुयं गच्छेज्जा, तओ संजयामेव गामाणुगामं दूइज्जेज्जा।
१३२. ग्रामानुग्राम विहार करते हुए साधु-साध्वी अपने सन्मुख युगमात्र (-गाड़ी के जुए के बराबर चार हाथ प्रमाण) भूमि को देखता हुआ चले और मार्ग में त्रस प्राणियों को देखे तो अगला पाँव उठाकर चले। यदि दोनों ओर जीव हों तो पैरों को सिकोड़कर चले अथवा पैरों को तिरछे-टेढ़े रखकर चले (यह विधि अन्य मार्ग के अभाव में बताई गई है)। यदि दूसरा कोई जीवरहित मार्ग हो तो उसी मार्ग से यतनापूर्वक जाये, किन्तु जीव-जन्तुओं से युक्त सरल (-सीधे) मार्ग पर न चले। इस प्रकार यतनापूर्वक ग्रामानुग्राम विचरण करना चाहिए। PRECAUTIONS DURING MOVEMENT
132. While moving from one village to another a bhikshu or bhikshuni should walk keeping about six feet of ground in his vision. If he sees mobile beings on the ground he should lift his toes and walk on heels. If there are beings on both sides he should walk on sides of his feet or bringing both feet nearer (this method is to be used in absence of an alternative path). However, if there is an alternative path free of beings, he should always take that path with due care and not the path that is straight but infested with beings. Thus he should move about from one village to another with due care.
१३३. से भिक्खू वा २ गामाणुगाणं दूइज्जमाणे, अन्तरा से पाणाणि वा बीयाणि वा हरियाणि वा उदए वा मट्टिया वा अविद्धत्था, सति परक्कमे जाव णो उज्जुयं गच्छेज्जा, तओ संजयामेव गामाणुगामं दूइज्जेज्जा। __ १३३. ग्रामानुग्राम विचरण करते हुए साधु-साध्वी यह जाने कि मार्ग में त्रस प्राणी हैं, बीज बिखरे हैं, हरियाली है, सचित्त पानी है या सचित्त मिट्टी है, जो अभी तक अचित्त नहीं हुई है, ऐसी स्थिति में यदि दूसरा निर्दोष मार्ग हो तो उसी मार्ग से यतनापूर्वक जाए, किन्तु जीवादि युक्त सरल मार्ग से नहीं जाये। यदि अन्य मार्ग नहीं हो तो यतनापूर्वक उस मार्ग से चले। ____133.
