(2) When a bhikshu or bhikshuni finds that the bed is free of eggs and other things including cobwebs but it is heavy, he should not accept it when given.
(3) When a bhikshu or bhikshuni finds that the bed is free of eggs and other things including cobwebs and is light weight also but it is non-returnable (the donor does not intend to take it back), he should not accept it when given.
(4) When a bhikshu or bhikshuni finds that the bed is free of eggs and other things including cobwebs, is light weight and is returnable also but it is not properly tied, he should not accept it when given.
(5) When a bhikshu or bhikshuni finds that the bed is free of eggs and other things including cobwebs, is light weight, is returnable and it is properly tied also, then he should accept it when given. __विवेचन-इस सूत्र में संस्तारक ग्रहण सम्बन्धी पाँच विकल्प बताये हैं। चूर्णिकार ने इसका विवेचन इस प्रकार किया है
(१) पहला, सअण्ड-जीव-जन्तु सहित संस्तारक, (२) द्वितीय, संस्तारक जीव-जन्तुरहित है, किन्तु भारी है, (३) तीसरा, संस्तारक जीव-जन्तु से रहित है, हल्का है, किन्तु अप्रातिहारिकगृहस्थ को वापस लौटाने योग्य नहीं हो, (४) चौथा संस्तारक अण्डे से रहित, हल्का और प्रातिहारिक भी है लेकिन ठीक से बँधा नहीं है, उक्त चारों प्रकार के संस्तारक ग्रहण न करे। (५) पाँचवाँ संस्तारक जीव-जन्तु से रहित, वजन में हल्का, प्रातिहारिक और सुदृढ़ रूप से बँधा हुआ है, वह संस्तारक ग्रहण योग्य है।
Elaboration—This aphorism defines five conditions about accepting bed (etc.). The commentator (Churni) has elaborated it as follows
(1) A bed infested with insects; (2) a bed free of insects but is heavy; (3) a bed free of insects and is light weight also but nonreturnable; (4) a bed free of insects, light weight and returnable also आचारांग सूत्र (भाग २)
