विशेष शब्दों के अर्थ- पुरेसंथुया - पूर्व-परिचित - जिन पूज्यजनों से दीक्षा ग्रहण की है, वे दीक्षाचार्य। पच्छासंथुआ-पश्चात् - परिचित - जिनसे शास्त्रों का अध्ययन किया है। पवत्ती - साधुओं को वैयावृत्य आदि में यथायोग्य प्रवृत्त करने वाला प्रवर्त्तक । थेरे - स्थविर, जो संयम आदि में विषाद पाने वाले साधुओं को स्थिर करता है। गणी - गच्छ का अधिपति । गणधरे - गुरु के आदेश से साधुगण को लेकर पृथक् विचरण करने वाला आचार्यकल्प मुनि । गणावच्छेइए-गणावच्छेदकगच्छ के कार्यों / हितों का चिन्तक । अवियाई - इत्यादि । खद्धं खद्धं अधिक-अधिक । पलिच्छाएतिआच्छादित कर (ढक) देता है । सयमाइए - स्वयं खाऊँगा । दाइए दिया गया है। उत्ताए हत्थे - खुली हथेली में | विणिज्जा - छिपाए ।
Technical Terms: Puresanthuya--old acquaintances like the seniors who initiated. Pacchasanthua-new or later acquaintances like the teachers who have taught scriptures. Pavatti (pravartak)-the senior ascetic who inspires and guides juniors in proper following of asceticconduct. There ( sthavir ) — the senior ascetic who re-establishes the ascetics disturbed by the hardships of ascetic-conduct. Gani-the head of a specific group (gachh) of ascetics. Ganadhare-the senior ascetic, of the level of acharya, who moves about independently with his group but with the order of his guru. Ganavachheiye (ganavachhedak)-the senior ascetic who takes care of the activities and interest of a group (gachh). Aviyaim-etcetera. Khaddham-khaddham-more and more. Palichhayeti-covers or conceals. Samaiye – will eat myself. Daiyehas been given. Uttanaye hatthe-in open palm. Viniguhejjaconceals.

७०. से भिक्खू वा २ से जं पुण जाणेज्जा अंतरुच्छ्रयं वा उच्छुगंडियं वा उच्छुचोयगं वा उच्छुमेरगं वा उच्छुसालगं वा उच्छुडालगं वा सिंबलिं वा सिंबलिथालगं वा, अस्सिं खलु पडिग्गहियंसि अप्पे भोयणजाए बहुउज्झियधम्मिए, तहप्पगारं अंतरुच्छ्रयं वा जाव सिंबलिथालगं वा अफासुयं जाव णो पडिगाहेज्जा ।
७०. गृहस्थ के घर में आहार के लिए गया हुआ भिक्षु यह जाने कि वहाँ (अचित्त किये हुए) छिले हुए ईख के पर्व का मध्य भाग या पर्व - सहित इक्षुखण्ड (गंडेरी) है, पेरे हुए ईख के छिलके हैं, छिला हुआ अग्र भाग तथा ईख की बड़ी शाखाएँ हैं, छोटी डालियाँ हैं, मूँग आदि की फली तथा चौले की फलियाँ पकी हुई हैं, ( ये सब अचित्त की हैं अतः )
