- चलित-(परिवर्तित) न हुआ हो, जिसका रस अतिक्रान्त न हुआ (बदला न) हो, जिसके वर्ण . आदि का परिणमन न हुआ हो, जो शस्त्र-परिणत (सचित्र आचारांगसूत्र, अध्ययन १) न हुआ हो, ऐसे पानी को अप्रासुक और अनेषणीय जानकर साधु-साध्वी ग्रहण न करे।
(२) पुनः यदि वह यह जाने कि यह बहुत देर का चावल आदि का धोया हुआ धोवन है, इसका स्वाद बदल गया है, रस का भी अतिक्रमण हो गया है, वर्ण आदि भी बदल गया है और शस्त्र-परिणत भी हो गया है तो उस पानक को प्रासुक और एषणीय जानकर ग्रहण कर ले।

CENSURE OF UNACCEPTABLE DRINKS
41. (1) A bhikshu or bhikshuni while entering the house of a layman in order to seek water should find about these categories of water (drinks)-(a) water touched by flour-smeared hands, (b) sesame seed wash or water with which sesame seed (etc.) have been washed, (c) rice wash, (d) water in which vegetables have been boiled or wash of any other such eatable. He should find if such wash has been recently collected, its original taste has not changed, its composition has not transformed, its colour and other properties have not changed, and it has not been effected by a weapon (refer to Illustrated Acharanga Sutra, Chapter 1). If it is so, he should refrain from taking any such water considering it to be contaminated and unacceptable. __(2) However, if he finds that such wash was collected long back, its original taste has changed, its composition has transformed, its colour and other properties have changed and it has been effected by a weapon, then he may take it considering it to be without any fault and acceptable. एषणीय पानक विवेक
४२. से भिक्खू वा २ जाव से जं पुण पाणगजायं जाणेज्जा तं जहा-(क) तिलोदगं वा (ख) तुसोदगं वा (ग) जवोदगं वा (घ) आयामं वा (ङ) सोवीरं वा (च) सुद्धवियर्ड वा, अण्णयरं वा तहप्पगारं पाणगजायं पुव्वामेव आलोएज्जा-आउसो त्ति वा भगिणि ति वा दाहिसि मे इत्तो अण्णयरं पाणगजायं ? से सेवं वदंतं परो वएज्जा-आउसंतो समणा ! चेवेदं पाणगजायं पडिग्गहेण वा उस्सिंचियाणं ओयत्तियाणं गिण्हाहि।
