minutely study the thoughts and beliefs of the listener. If he starts preaching without such minute observation, there are chances that a Listener may consider this to be an insult to his religious or sectarian beliefs and in retaliation proceed to manhandle the preacher. Thus instead of propagation of religion he may end up in escalating animosity.
१०५. से मेहावी अणुग्घायणस्स खेयण्णे जे य बंधपमोक्खमण्णेसी। कुसले पुण णो बद्धे णो मुक्के। से जं च आरभे, जं च णारभे, अणारद्धं च ण आरभे। छणं छणं परिण्णाय लोगसण्णं च सव्वसो।
१०५. बुद्धिमान् वही है जो अनुद्घात-अहिंसा का संपूर्ण स्वरूप जानता है तथा जो कर्मों के बंधन से मुक्त होने की अन्वेषणा करता है।
कुशल (ममत्वभाव से मुक्त) पुरुष न बद्ध होता है और न मुक्त।
उन कुशल साधकों ने जिस प्रवृत्ति का आचरण किया है और जिसका आचरण नहीं a किया है उसे जानकर, उनके द्वारा अनाचरित मार्ग का आचरण न करे।
हिंसा तथा हिंसा के कारणों को जानकर उनका त्याग कर दे। लोक-संज्ञा को भी सर्व प्रकार से त्याग दे। ____105. Only he is wise who knows ahimsa perfectly and who explores the possibilities of getting liberated from the bondage of karmas.
An accomplished one (free of fondness) is never trapped and so, never needs getting liberated.
Knowing about the activity they (accomplished seekers) indulged in and those they avoided, he should not indulge in activities they avoided.
Knowing violence and causes thereof he should avoid them. He should also completely abandon the worldly attitude.
विवेचन-अणुग्घायणस्स खेयण्णे-इस पद का टीकाकार ने-'कर्म प्रकृति के मूल एवं उत्तर
भेदों को जानकर उन्हें क्षीण करने का उपाय जानने वाला' यह अर्थ किया है। 'अन + उद् + * घात' = अनुद्घात का अर्थ अहिंसा व संयम भी होता है। * लोक-विजय : द्वितीय अध्ययन ( १४७ )
