other such vices is the diagonal path. In other words-the path of carnal desires is the diagonal path; do not get trapped into that.
९४. कासंकासे खलु अयं पुरिसे । बहुमाइ, कडेण मूढे । पुणो तं करेइ लोभं । वेरं वडूढेति अप्पणो ।
जमिणं परिकहिज्जइ इमस्स चेव पडिबूहणयाए ।
अमरायइ महासड्ढी । अट्टमेतं तु पेहाए । अपरिण्णाए कंदइ ।
९४. “मैंने यह काम कर लिया और यह काम अभी करूँगा । " - इस प्रकार की उधेड़-बुन में रहने वाला कभी शान्ति प्राप्त नहीं कर सकता । वह भोगों की प्राप्ति के लिए माया-कपट • रचता है और फिर अपने रचे मायाजाल में स्वयं फँसकर मूढ़ बन जाता है। वह मूढभाव से ग्रस्त होकर फिर लोभ करता है और प्राणियों के साथ अपना वैर बढ़ाता रहता है।
कहा जाता है ( कि वह कामी पुरुष माया तथा लोभ का आचरण कर अपना वैर बढ़ाता है) उसका यह आचरण इस शरीर को पुष्ट बनाने के लिए होता है।
वह काम-भोग में महान् श्रद्धा ( आसक्ति) रखता हुआ अपने को अमर की भाँति समझता है। तू देख वह आर्त ( पीड़ित ) है । परिग्रह का त्याग नहीं करने वाला क्रन्दन करता है ( रोता है)।

94. "I have done this work and will now do that," a man caught in such ambiguities can never attain peace. To appease his carnal desires he resorts to deception; caught into the trap of deception, he in the end makes a fool of himself. Under the influence of this stupidity he develops greed and continues to inflame his animosity with other beings.
The said conduct (that a lecherous man inflames animosity through deception and greed) is (in fact) for making his body strong.
Having great faith (craving) in carnal indulgences he considers himself immortal. See man, he is tormented. One who does not abandon attachment cries (in the end).
विवेचन - 'कासंकासे' शब्द द्वारा रात-दिन सपने देखने वाले मनुष्य की वृत्ति को व्यक्त किया गया है । ऐसा स्वप्नदर्शी मनुष्य - " यह किया है, यह करना बाकी है । " - इसी उधेड़-बुन में फँसा अनेक हथकंडे रचता है, वैर बढ़ाता है। वह जीवन में इतना आसक्त हो जाता है कि दूसरों को मरते हुए देखकर भी स्वयं को अमर की तरह मानने लगता है।
