[जिस प्रकार अर्थ-संग्रह, पदार्थ- संग्रह तथा मित्र ज्ञाति आदि बल-संग्रह करके पुरुष सन्मान की इच्छा करता है, उसी प्रकार अपने गोत्र या जाति पर भी अहंकार से दीप्त होता है। अतः यहाँ पर गोत्रवाद का निरसन किया गया है। आज के समय में इसे 'जातिवाद' के विरोध के परिप्रेक्ष्य में देखा जा सकता है ।]
[As a man seeks prestige through accumulating wealth, hoarding things, and amass power through enlisting support of family and friends, he also basks in the glory and pride of his clan or caste. Therefore casteism has been defied here. It can be seen in context of the modern day opposition to casteism.]
गोत्रवाद का निरसन
७६. से असई उच्चागोए असई णीयागोए । णो हीणे, णो अइरित्ते णो पीहए । इति संखाए के गोयावादी ? के माणावादी ? कंसि वा एगे गिज्झे ? तम्हा पंडिए णो हरिसे, णो कुज्झे ।

७६. आत्मा अनेक बार उच्च गोत्र और अनेक बार नीच गोत्र में जन्म ले चुका है। इसलिए न तो कोई हीन है और न कोई अतिरिक्त / उच्च है । यह जानकर उच्च गोत्र की स्पृहा न करे ।
इस सत्य को समझ लेने पर कौन गोत्रवादी होगा ? कौन मानवादी होगा ? और कौन किसी एक गोत्र / स्थान में आसक्त होगा ?
इसलिए विवेकशील मनुष्य ( उच्च गोत्र प्राप्त होने पर) हर्षित न हो और ( नीच गोत्र प्राप्त होने पर) कुपित न हो।
RENOUNCING CASTEISM
76. A soul has already been born many a time in higher caste and many a time in lower caste. Therefore no one is either low or otherwise (high). Knowing this one should not crave for higher caste.
