As these varieties of cuckoos live in thick and cool gardens, they are called Vanapriya. They are dark blue in celour having long tails. Their cry is very cheerful. They take a very little food. They would perch from one tree to another tree to enjoy good flavour. They eat tender leaves, buds, and fruits etc., with their female birds.
