Appaya Dikshita
“Son of Rangaraja Dikshita or Rangarajadhvarin, gura of Dharmayya Dikshita, brother of Apyodikshita, uncle of Narayana Dikshita (Nilakanthachampu 1637), nephew on mother's side of Tatayajvan Karnatabhubhridguru. End of
15th century.” Aufrecht in C.C. His Vidhirasayana, with a commentary by the author, 5, 185. See Burnell, p. 96 a. His Vasumatichitrasenanataka is No. 48 of my collection of 1898-99. Aufrecht enumerates sixty-six works of this voluminous writer.

Mentionel as his garu by Harsharaja, the author of an avachuri on the Sanghapattaka of Jinavallabhasuri. See under Harsharaja. He was a pupil of Jinabhadrasuri of the Kharatara.
