________________ INDEX OF AUTHORS. Akalanka His Ashtasati, a commentary on the Devagamastotra or Aptamimansa of Samantabhadra (verses prefixed to his commentary on the Tattvarthasutra of Umasvativachaka) is referred to by Laghusamantabhadra. See the entry Samantabhadra (laghu). For Akalanka see that entry in Index to Fifth Report. 5, 217. Ananta Referred to as his guru by Lakshmidhara, the author of the Bhagavannamakaumudi. 5, 181. Anantadeva Author of the Siddhantatattva. Son of A padeva. He is, therefore, to be identified with the well-known writer of the name. See the entry Anantadeva in Index to Fourth Report. Correct the entry about the present book in Aufrecht's C. C. He was a pupil of Ramatirtha. 6, 21, Author also of the Sampradayanirupanam, Burnell, p. 94, calls this book a commentary on the Tattvaprakriya, but this appears to be a mistake. The verse he cites as the first verse of the Tattva. prakriya is the first verse of the Sampradayanirupanam (the word missing in my extract is in Burnell “tattvasamsrayam"). The Sampradayanirupana is an independent text, and the Siddbantatattva is a commentary on it by the author himself. 6, 21. B 417
