Exposition of Pratikramana Stotras
kallänakandam padhamam jinindam, santim tao nemijinam munindam; päsam payäsam su-gunikka-thänam, bhattii vande siri-vaddhamänam. 1 With devotion I pay respects to, foremost Lord Rushabhdeva, fountain of all good, peaceful and soothing like a moon Lord Shäntinätha, supreme lord among monks Lord Neminätha, enlightener Lord Parshvanatha and establisher of good virtues revered Vardhamäna Swami. 1 અપાર સંસાર સમુદ પાર, પત્તા સિવં દિનુ સુઈક્કસાર, સવ્વ જિબિંદા સુરવિંદ વંદા, કલ્યાણ વલ્લીણ વિસાલ કંદા. ૨ a-pära-sansära-samudda-päram, pattä sivam dintu su-ikkasäram; savve jinindä sura-vinda-vandä, kalläna-vallina visälakandä. 2 The ones, who have successfully crossed the ocean of mundane existence, who are adored by the celestial beings and who are like the widely spread roots of happiness, all the Jinas; grant me the ultimate release (moksha). 2 નિવ્વાણ મગે વરજાણકj, ૫ણાસિયાસેસ કુવાઈદપ, મય જિગાણ સરણ બહાણ, નમામિ નિર્ચા તિજગપ્પહાણ. ૩ nivväna-magge vara-jäna-kappam, panäsiyä-sesa-kuväi-dappam; mayam jinänam saranam buhänam, namämi nichcham ti-jagappahänam. 3 The supreme vehicle for the path of liberation, the destroyer of ego of all wrong believers, shelter of the wise, the principle doctrines (ägamas) of Jineshwara in three worlds, to which I pay my eternal respect. 3 કુદિદુગોફખીરતુસારવન્ના, સરોજ હત્યા કમલે નિસન્ના, વાએસિરી પુત્યયવઝ્મહત્યા, સુહાય સા અખ્ત સયા પત્થા. ૪ kundindu-go-kkhiratusara-vannä, saroja-hatthä kamle nisannä; väesiri putthaya-vagga-hatthä, suhäya sä amha sayä pastthä. 4 Fair complexion like jasmine flower, full moon, milk of cow and dew, seated on a lotus, holding lotus in one hand, and a bundle of books in the other hand, beneficent to all, you! Goddess of learning (Sarsavati Devi) always blesses us with happiness. 4
