Exposition of Pratikramana Stotras
(stanadosha) , counting the time period of Käyotsarga by fingers or by movements of eyelids (bhamuhangulidosha) , moving the eyeballs like a crow (väyasadosha), moving the head side ways (shira:kampa dosha), making (hun-hun) noise like a dumb person (mukadosha), speaking incoherently like a drunk (madirädosha), making movements like a monkey (prekshyadosha), hiding clothes soiled by perspiration (kapitthadosha), swaying the body (latädosha) and covering the whole body (sayantidosha). Women are allowed to keep down the head, cover the chest, the legs and the whole body.

Sutra and Meaning: લોગસ્સ ઉજજો અગરે, ઘમ્મતિવૈયરે જિર્ણ, અરિહંતે કિન્નઈટ્સ, ચકવીસંપિ કેવલી. ૧ logassa ujjoagare, dhammatitthayare jine; arihante kittaissam, chauvisampi kevali. 1 I praise the twenty-four Jinas, the illuminators of the entire Universe, the conquerors of attachment and aversion, the bearers of perfect knowledge, and builders of ford of righteousness. 1 ઉસભ મજિયં ચ વદે, સંભવ મણિદણ ચ સુમઈ ચ, પઉમuહ સુપાસ, જિર્ણ ચ ચદમ્બઈ વ. usabhamajiam cha vande, sambhava-mabhinandanam cha sumaim cha. pauma-ppaham supäsam, jinam cha chandappaham vande. 2 I bow to Rushabhdeva, Ajitnätha, Sambhavanätha, Abhinandana Swami, Sumatinätha, Padmaprabha, Supärshvanätha Swami, and Chandraprabha Swami. 2 સુવિહિં ચ પુત, સીઅલ સિજર્જસ વાસુપુજજં ચ, વિમલમણત ચ જિર્ણ, ઘમ્મ સંતિ ચ વટામિ. ૩ suvihim cha puppha-dantam, siala-sijjansa-väsupujjam cha; vimalamanantam cha jinam, dhammam santim cha vandämi. 3
