Classified.
PREDICAMENTS. The Pudgala-matter is also classified in the following manner according to other modes of its being :
(a) Sthula-Sthula (947) or the Grossest of the gross, as, for example,logs of wood or blocks of stone ; i.e., solids which can be cut into equal parts. . (b) Sthula ( a ) or the Gross-simple, milk or water, i. e., liquids, which are restorable to their original mass-forms even after their measurable divisions.
(c) Sthula-sukshma ( ETH) or the Compound of the gross and the fine (e.g. gases which is visible in the light of the sun or the moon but cannot be caught ; as for example smokes and the like)
(d) Sukshma-Sthula ( a ) or the Compound of the fine and the gross is what is not visible to the eye but is perceptible by the auditory or olfactory nerves ; as, for example, music and smell.
(e) Sukshma ( ) or the Fine.
(f) Sukshma-Sukshma (-) or the Finest of the fine, the ultimate àtoms which admit of no further divisions. These finest of the fine, are mere simples as oppos
