न्यायविनिश्चयविवरण suppose that of the rest of the universe. If the knowledge of the promulgator of a religion or of a new path to perfection were fragmentary or confined to a limited part of time and space or a particular section of mankind, it would fail to be valid for all time to come. There is a good deal of logic in this argument, and one is made to pause and Ponder whether the pragmatic solution offiered by Dharmakirti can be accepted as the last word.
The getup, type and paper and clear print are an attraction to an inquisitive student. Of course in spite of all these facilities, the work will not prove acceptable to one who does not possess a keen logical acumen and insatiable thirst for knowledge and an indomitable will to overcome the hurdles. India in the past did not fail to take up the challenge of Dharmakīrti and the difficulties rather served to act as incentives. It is expected and desired that the modern students of logic will not be found unequal to the avowed difficulties present work. The reward is commensurate with the labour and application needed for its understanding. It will rehablitate the faith of the alumni of a modern University in the surpassing magnitude of the past Indian intellect which refused to be banked by the intractable size of the problems. The Everest has been conquered in the physical plane and it is not idle to expect that the intellectual Everest created by our ancestors will have the same alluring influence upon the present and the unborn generations,
