Kshatriyas and Vaisyas also pronounce Pravaras similar to ose pronounced by Brâhmans; but the Nibandhanakâras say at the Vaisyas and Kshatriyas have each only one Pravara named glow; and if there are any who are not the descendants of the I săis named in the Pravara, they should pronounce the Pravaras of 1 eir family-priests. * are to regard all the Vaiśyas and Ksha• yas who do not p: Kaśyapa, - single Pravara named below not be the descendan , D , al Rishis whose names they actu<ly pronounce, the imaya of the vant intermarrying with members the same Gotra and i ravara becomes unintelligible. I suppose at they are really the descendants of the ķishis pronounced in eir respective Pravaras and that, having followed a profession it prescribed for Brâhmans, they are treated as Vaiśyas and hatriyas. This view is confirmed by the fact that some of the a cestors of the so called Brâhmans were themselves Kshatriyas who anted the Vedas. Kstriyas and Vaisyas.
