શ્લોક-૧૪
. ૫૧ મુનિઓને નિયામાં કરાવી તપ અને ચારિત્રનાં ફળથી વંચિત કરી દીધા છે. માટે એ દુરંત કામદેવનો અંત કરવાના ઈચ્છકે પાંચે ઈન્દ્રિયોના વિષયોને સર્વથા પોતાને આધીન રાખવા, પોતે તેને આધીન ન થવું અને સ્ત્રી જાતિનો પરિચય બિલકુલ ન કરવો. શિયથેચ્છ સ્ત્રીએ પુરુષજાતિનો પરિચય ન કરવો. આ પોતાના પ્રાપ્ત ગુણોને ટકાવી રાખવાનો અને નવા ગુણો મેળવવાનો સત્ય ઉપાય છે, અન્ય કોઈ ઉપાય નથી. Explanation - This verse shows how the power of lust can cause the spiritual ruin of a being. Kama, the God of love and lust, often deceitfully robs great ascetics of the finest of fruits of all their spiritual aspiration. The 'self-meditation', 'penance', 'right knowledge' and 'truth' attained by them after painstaking and persistent effort are all burnt down by lust in an instant.
