આ આત્માને જ્યારે ધર્મમાં રસ પડવા માંડે છે ત્યારે બીજાને સંસારનાં કાર્યોમાં ઉત્સાહ જોઈને ખેદ પામે છે, તેને ઉપદેશરૂપે કહે છે –
બ્લોક-૧૨
कार्यं च किं ते .परदोषदृष्ट्या, कार्यं च किं ते परचिन्तया च । वृथा कथं खिद्यसि बालबुद्धे, कुरु स्वकार्यं त्यज सर्वमन्यत् ।।
દોષો પરાયા નીરખે તું શાને? ચિતા પરાઈ કરતો તું શાને? ભોળો ન થા, ખેદ વૃથા તજી દે, છોડી બધું, શ્રેય સ્વનું કરી લે.
What is the need to focus attention On others wrongs, without any reason? How can others be your responsibility? How can their deeds cause you anxiety? What anyone else does is none of your business, Why this disgust then, why this distress? O childlike being! Shun everything else And fulfil your duty to your own 'self'.
