असंतोष यदि धन-धान्य से परिपूर्ण यह सारा लोक भी किसी एक व्यक्ति को मिल जाए, तो भी वह उससे संतुष्ट नहीं होगा। (लोभी व्यक्ति की आकांक्षाओं का पूर्ण होना अत्यंत कठिन है।)
Discontent Even if this whole world full of wealth is given to a man, he will not be contented with that. It is extremely difficult to satisfy the desires of an avaricious man.
धन से त्राण नहीं प्रमत्त मनुष्य धन द्वारा न तो इस लोक में अपनी रक्षा कर सकता है और न परलोक में। हाथ में दीपक होने पर भी जैसे उसके बुझ जाने पर मार्ग दिखाई नहीं देता, वैसे ही धन में मूढ़ हुआ मनुष्य न्यायमार्ग को नहीं देख पाता।
Wealth cannot Protect Wealth cannot protect an imprudent person in this birth and the next. Just as an extinguished lamp cannot light the path so also a person who is deluded cannot tread the right path.
