To cover up this clandestine love-affair her (female) friend says that her lower lip has been cracked by winter. 907. This gāthā is cites to illustrate sargharsa (rivalry, mutual competition). Bhoja adopts this gātha from some old story of Prince Müladeva, Acala-Svāmin and a prominent courtezan, Devadattā by name. Devadattā has fallen in love with Mūladeva and she intensely hates Achala Svāmin who has a passion for her. The Tocht referred to in the gatha was Devadattā. 370 was a rich merchant's
