Chapter XIX Prakrit Verses In Rasagangadhara:
In one of his introductory verses to the Rasagangadhara Jagannātha Paņdita, the last great writer on Sanskrit Poetics (C. 1620-1665), proudly declares that all the examples cited in this work on poetics are his own and he has not borrowed from other poet's works.' All these examples are in Sanskrit. We come across hardly half a dozen verses in Prakrit which he quotes from Mammata's Kavyaprakasa in the course of his theoretical discussidns :

(p. 15) भम धम्मिअ वीसत्थो/वीसद्धो सो सुणओ अज्ज मारिओ तेण । गोला-णइ-कच्छ-कुडंग-वासिणा दरिअ-सीहेण ॥ (भम धार्मिक विश्वस्तः/विस्रब्धः स शुनकोऽद्य मारितस्तेन ।
गोदा-नदी-कच्छ-कुञ्ज ( = लतागहन-)वासिना दृप्त-सिंहेन ॥) This gatha (GS II. 75) is cited in Kavyaprakasa (p. 253).

ओण्णिदुं दोब्बल्लं चिता अलसत्तणं सणीससि। मह मंदभाइणीए केरं सहि तुह वि अहह परिहवइ ॥ (औन्निद्रयं दौर्बल्यं चिन्तालसत्वं सनिःश्वसितम्। मम मन्दभागिन्याः संबन्धि सखि तवप्यहह परिभवति ॥)
