Eighty-four lac ninety seven thousand twenty-three mansions (in aggregate of the celestial gods) are described. Notes A. In this aphorism, the number of letters (pada) of Bhagavatīsūtra is given as eighty four thousand while Nandīsūtra mentions this number as two lac eighty eight thousand letters'. The commentator Abhayadevasūri has designated the account of Samavāyānga as of different tradition". Ach. Mahāprajña opined that both versions may belong to different redactions (vācanā). D.
