When there occurs any one of the following Prefixes before the Verb ‘vasa', the Verb is placed in the Accusative Case. (uva, anu, ahi, ā) Harī saggam (2/1) uvavasai/anuvasai/ahivasai/ āvasai/ etc. Hari resides in heaven. When simply the Verb ‘vasa' is used, the sentence will be 'Harī sagge vasai' (Hari resides in the heaven). Here Accusative Case will not occur. (In English the sentence remains the same). When there occurs ubhao (on both sides), savvao (on all sides), dhi (insult), samayā (near) in a sentence, Accusative Case occurs in the concerned word; e.g., Parijaņo rāyam (2/1) ubhao/savvao citthai/ etc. On both sides/on all sides of the king, relations sit. Dhi dujjaņam (2/1) (shame to the villain) Gāmaí (2/1) samayā ekko tadāgo atthi. There exists a pond near the village. In connection with 'antareņa' (without) and ‘antarā' (in the middle or in between) there occurs Accusative Case in the concerned word. (i) Ņāņaṁ (2/1) antareņa na suhas.
There is no happiness without knowledge. Gangam jauņam (2/1) ya antarā payāgo atthi. There is Prayāga in between the Gangā and Jamunā.
