The whole Indeclinable Compound is an Adverb. The last word of the Compound is always in the Nominative Neuter Gender Singular. Indeclinable Compound is not inflected; e.g., uvaguruṁ (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (near the Guru) aņubhoyanaṁ (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (after food) painayaraṁ (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (every city) paidiņaṁ (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (every day) paigharaṁ (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (in every house) jahāsattim (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (according to strength) jahāvihim (Nominative Neuter Singular) = (according to rule) Mostly in Compounds last Vowel of the first word becomes long if it is short and short vowel becomes long.
