SUTRAS
THE KEY TO THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
63
We get undeniable proof of this special ability when we look at the many multi-layered situations we confront each day: - all the highly complex bodily decisions we subconsciously make almost every second; - the swiftness with which we evaluate power, disposition and strategy of opponents and then instantly fine-tune our tactics; - the immediacy with which we judge whether our outer and inner situation agrees with our deeper motives, ideas and values, and how we should react to this.
In all these decisions our intellect plays only an insignificant role. Certainly, we consciously adopt well thought out and laboriously trained concepts and action-sequences, but we also experience often that Total Perception - our direct access to comprehensive knowledge - easily overrides any mental calculation however logical it may appear to us. When speed of judgement and decision is vital to our survival, we almost always revert to Total Perception - to the one ability that brings us so efficiently through life.
Total Perception is the direct connection to our consciousness. Its ability to understand the most complex circumstances instantly and comprehensively, gives us a taste of the immense potential of insights that still rests undiscovered deep within us.
The casualness with which we handle Total Perception in daily life demonstrates how natural and spontaneous it will be to activate even more comprehensive levels of insight - we only need to direct this familiar ability towards new and higher goals.
The ease with which Total Perception matured in our life - from toddler to adult - further demonstrates how playful the unfoldment of this ability can be.
And last not least: - Total Perception presents the irrefutable proof that even now we do have the ability to reach and develop new dimensions of consciousness. We only need to extend the range in which we use this skill.
