Take sal-ammoniac ţă 1, alum tā. 2, grain (or powder) of copper ţă. 3, chloride of sodium tā. 4, red orchre (geny=girimāti) tā: and rub. them with water. Next smear the leaves of gold (with this místnos), give fire to these leaves slowly and slowly by putting dry wild cowdung cakes
sr. into an earthen potsherd three times. Again by this process smear. the leaves with medicine, give fire of wild dry cowdung cakes to these leaves in an earthen potshered (Thikarā) three times, slolwy. Thus again smear the leaves of gold, again give fire to them. Thus give sal-ammoniak and fire to three smearings of coatings. That is, gold will be marvellous.it
The meaning of the gātha (Do rattā, do piyalā)-Combine together all these-two māsās of copper, two māsās of gold, four mäsas-of minerat: calamine and crush and rub them in a mortar without water. Take out the leaf of Dāvu (Jāvu) which beeomas red-white shooting fo th: Crush that with the juice of betel leaf. Next put it into a crucible. - Make glass. crucible. Put the medicine into that crucible. Chew together betel Icaf;" lime (katho) and areca nut and put the spittle into the crucible, give a seal of glass into the mouth of the crucible. Then wrap a piece of cloth spaķed with spittle of þetel-leaf over the crucible. Next put a cover of cloth and clay over it with spittle. Then get it dried up and heat it in coal Sr. 1. Make it cooled down, take it out. There becomes söta.**
* Take a cup of essence of that mineral calámine tk. 6, mext mercury ta. 1, Sulphur jā. 1, realgar ţa. 1, orpiment tā. 1, and dadimiyor gömala (oxide of arsenic) ţă. 1 and combine all these medicines, crush and rübi them in a mortar. Reduce them to påste, give them 7 putas fróastings) in the juice of citrus lemon, 7 puțas in the juice of Aloe vira, 7-putas: In the juice of Kavai(a kind of vanaspati) and sūryapuța (puța in the sun-rays). . . 7
Next make tablets out of the mixture. Hold them by side of medi cine, hold the cup of the essence of mineral calamine over it. Place" it into a Valukāyantra. Make worship, make (lit) fire of (for) & praharas. Next take out the thing and make worship. That is the essence.
Coimbine together pure copper ţă. 2, the essence. t. 1, silver ta. 2 bost gald tā. 5, and molt them first in an open crucible. Next crush than and fill them up, and put the remaining all in an earthen jar, put sang 1 st. over it; put them into an open crucible, next pour the whole thing out. There become gold pieces. 3
