CHAPTER X
micchattam jai payadi micchadiṭṭhi karei appāṇam tamhā aceyanā de payadi nanu kārago patta (328) मिथ्यात्वं यदि प्रकृतिर्मिथ्यादृष्टि करोत्यात्मानम् ।
तस्मादचेतना ते प्रकृतिर्ननु कारकाः प्राप्ताः ॥ ३२८ ॥
328, If the karmic material, responsible for wrong belief (by its own potency) makes the Self a wrong believer, then does not your non-intelligent prakṛti assume the role of an intelligent doer?
अहवा एसो जीवो पोग्गलदव्वस्स कुणइ मिच्छतं ।
तम्हा पोग्गलदव्वं मिच्छादिट्टी ण पुण जीवो ॥ ३२६ ॥ ahava eso ji poggaladavcassa kunai micchattam tamhi poggalvdevram miccizditgha ya puna jivo (329) अवैष: बीवः पुष्यस्य करोति मिथ्यात्वम् ।
तस्मात्पुद्गलद्रव्यं मिथ्यादृष्टि पुनर्जीवः ॥ ३२९ ॥
329. If, on the other hand, the soul causes wrong belief in matter then it is matter that becomes a non-believer and not the soul.
यह जीवो पदहीवड पोल कुणति मिच्छतं । सारिक जति सफल ॥ ३३० ॥
aha jloc pupaditcha bigga udarom kupamti micchattam tamha wohl kagum tam doggiri bhumjamti tassa phalam (330)
अथ चोकर पुद्गद्रव्यं कुरुते मिथ्यात्वम् ।
तस्मादानां कृतं द्वावपि नाते तस्य फलम् ॥ ३३० ॥

330. Again if soul and (inanimate) prakyti together create wrong belief out of karmic materials, then they both must enjoy the fruit of their actions.
अह ण पयडी ण जीवो पोग्गलदव्वं कुणंति मिच्छत्तं । तम्हा पोग्गलदव्वं मिच्छतं तत्तु णहु मिच्छा ॥ ३३१॥
aha na payadi na jivo poggaladavvam kuṇamti micchattam tamha poggaladavvam micchattam tattu nahu miccha (331) अथ न प्रकृतिर्न जीवः पुद्गलद्रव्यं कुरुते मिथ्यात्वम् ।
तस्मात्पुद्गलद्रव्यं मिथ्यात्वं तत्तु न खल्ल मिथ्या ॥ ३३१॥
