G.SYNTAX. In prose the words in a sentence are arranged much in the same order as in Hindí, Panjábí or Gujrati. बंभदत्ते गच्छह — Bambhadatta goes'; सेणं नरगामी उव्यट्टिता सुपइद्धपुरे नयरे गोणत्ताए पञ्चायाहिह ' Returning from hell he will be born as an ox in the town of Supaitthapura'; अहं पिवासियपुरिसाणं श्रद्धा कूवाओ. सीयलं जलं कडढामि I draw cold water from the well for the sake of thirsty persons."
____ In a. verse, however, the words may be arranged in any order. मुह मे एगग्गमणा, मग्गं जिणेहिं देसियं ।

Giving, enjoying and sacrificing and, after that गच्छसि खत्तिया ॥ thou goest O Khattiya ! Oh chief, you should go. (i.e. renounce the world) after performing many sacrifices, feasting Samanas and Brahmans, giving away (alms), enjoying (pleasures), and making. oblations. सोवागकुलसंभूए
