The Bārhahrathas were succeeded by the Pradyot as, who, as already shown, were succeeded by Saiśunaga Nandivardhana, the first Nanda king. The above interpretation of the Puranic verses is also compatible with the chronology described therein, According to the Purāṇas, the twenty two kings of the Farhadratha-dynasty ruled for 1000 years as follows.
