The Life of Lord Sri Mahavira
The miniature shows Inbrabhuti framed like a temple image in the niche. He is dressed in the robes of a Svetämbara Monk. His right shoulder is bare, but over it is a narrow white piece of mouth-cloth (muhapatti). The left hand rests upon his lap, the right is raised in a teaching gesture (pravacanamudra).
ચિત્ર ૧૬૧ આર્યધર્માંસ્વામી. નવાબ ૧, પાના ૨ ઉપરથી. ચિત્રની મધ્યમાં ગણધર શ્રી સુધર્માવામીબેઠેલા છે. પ્રભુ મહાવીરની પરપરાએ તેઓશ્રી આવેલા હતા. તેઓશ્રીની સન્મુખ નવ પાંખડીનું કમળનું વિકસ્વર ફૂલ ચિત્રકારે રજૂ કરીને તેએશ્રીને ગૌતમસ્વામીથી જૂદી રીતે રજૂ કર્યાં હોય એમ લાગે છે. તેઓશ્રીના મસ્તકની પાછળના ભાગમાં સુંદર ભામૈડલ છે. તીર્થકરદેવા અને ગણધરવાને ખુદા ઓળખવા માટે પ્રાચીન મૂર્તિએ અને ચિત્રમાં તફાવત માત્ર એટલેા જ રાખ્યા છે કે તીર્થંકરની મૂર્તિ તથા ચિત્રા પદ્માસનસ્થ આભૂષણ સહિત અને બંને હાથ પલાંઠી ઉપર અને ગણધરહેવાની મૂર્તિ તથા ચિત્રો પદ્માસનસ્થ, આજુ વગર સાધુવેશમાં અને જમણેા હાથ હૃદય સન્મુખ પ્રવચનમુદ્રાએ, કેટલીક વખત માળા સહિત તથા ડાબા હાથ ખેાળા ઉપર રાખતા.
આ ચિત્રમાં સુધર્માંસ્વામીની બંને બાજુએ એકેક શિષ્ય સુશ્રુષા કરતા ઊભેલા છે. ઉપરના ભાગે છે માર છે અને પાટની ટોચે એ હંસપક્ષી રજૂ કરેલાં છે. ચિત્રની રંગપૂરણી ખૂબ સુંદર અને આલ્હાદક છે, અને ચિત્રકાર ઉચ્ચકોટીના કલાકાર હોય એમ લાગે છે.

In the small temple sits Arya Sudharmäsvämí. The iconographic difference between Tirthankaras and monks is made clear. He holds a rosary in his right hand in a gesture of lecturing. Around his had is pointed halo, frequently used with jain monks. Below his throne is lotus. On the either side is a peacock and at the top are two swans. The colour scheme is skilful and brilliant. He was a direct inheritor of Sri Mahavira, though he was the fifth Gaṇadhara. On account of his long life.

તે કાળે એટલે ચાચા આરાને છેડે, અને તે સમયે એટલે શ્રમણ ભગવાન મહાવીર રાજગૃહ નગરને વિષે સમવસર્યા તે અવસરે, ગુણશીલ નામના ચૈત્યને વિષે ઘણા શ્રમણેાની, ઘણી શ્રમણીએની, ઘણા શ્રાવકાની, ઘણી શ્રાવિકાઓની, ઘણા દવા અને ઘણી દેવીની મધ્યમાં જ બેઠેલા શ્રમણુ ભગવાન મહાવીરે આ પ્રમાણે ક્યું
