________________ 193 SHRIMAD BHAGVAD GITA-A JAIN PERSPECTIVE not conquered his lower self, it is like an enemy"-6 जितात्मनः प्रशान्तस्य परमात्मा समाहितः ।। शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु तथा मानापमानयोः ॥ ७ ॥ "The self of one who has conquered his soul and who is perfectly clam and balanced remains composed in cold as well as heat, in pleasure as well as pain and in honour as well as dishonour." - 7 ज्ञानविज्ञानतृप्तात्मा कूटस्थो विजितेन्द्रियः । युक्त इत्यच्यते योगी समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः ॥ ८ ॥ "The yogi who is saturated with knowledge and wisdom and who remains unshaken and has conquered all senses does not find any difference between a lump of earth stone a piece of gold is spoken as a realized soul."- 8 सुह्यन्मित्रायुदासीनमध्यस्थद्वेष्यबन्धुषु । साधुष्वपि च पापेषु समबुद्धिर्विशिष्यते ॥ ९ ॥ Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
