SHRIMAD RAJCHANDRA Once, when Shrimad Rajchandra was at Anand, he saw many people going to Khambhat by train. On inquiring, he was informed that they were going to have "Darshan" of a monk, who had fasted for one month. He felt that people took outward rituals more seriously than inner awakening, and he composed "Mool Marag". This poem embodies the essence of Jainism and elaborates on the eternal, unchanging truth of the three-fold path of Samyak Gnana, Darshan and Charitra (right knowledge, perception and conduct). He is believed to have composed this beautiful poem on the Anand railway station.
