Remarks The 'twenty four' referred to in this inscription may indicate a committee of twentyfour men formed for religious and social purposes. At Karuppankungu, there are sculptures representing Adinātha and Mahavira carved on the face of the rock, and an image of Pārsvanātha in a shrine-like niche cut on a separate boulder.
